Maintenance Technician (Short-Term Contract)

Pay :

- $24/hr on W2

Estimated 3 weeks to 1 month (may extend; not temp-to-perm)

Schedule
:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Weekend Availability
:
Occasional Saturdays as needed

Location
:
Kailua-Kona ,HI Onsite (Warehouse)

• Responsible for performing routine preventative and corrective maintenance on warehouse facilities, equipment, and material handling systems. Supports safe, reliable operation of machinery and building systems and assists with repairs as assigned.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery per manufacturer guidelines
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
• Communicate equipment issues to operations staff
• Complete general building maintenance (plumbing, lighting, minor repairs)
• Assist with material handling equipment maintenance, including battery watering
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe, organized condition
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA guidelines; report unsafe conditions or incidents
• Complete additional maintenance duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of facility or equipment maintenance experience preferred
• Experience working around heavy machinery
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics
• Willing to obtain forklift certification and food safety certification
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Reliable transportation required

• Strong mechanical, technical, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to use hand tools, measuring, and testing equipment
• Effective communication skills in English
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform manual labor
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs occasionally
• Comfortable working in hot, cold, and occasionally wet warehouse conditions
