Responsibilities- The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. Tasks include greeting customers, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring proper merchandise presentation.
- Engage in store operations to perform a range of functions as business needs require, including assisting customers, handling merchandise, and following company best-practice standards.
- Demonstrate safety as the top priority, creating a safe shopping environment, keeping aisles clear, and reporting unsafe conditions to Store Leadership.
- Support brand representation and uphold the company image in all customer interactions.
- Perform cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces, restocking) and maintain restroom supplies as part of daily duties.
- Process newly received merchandise and expedite to the sales floor following company presentation guidelines.
- Adhere to loss prevention practices and merchandise protection standards; follow MOS policies for stock processing and disposal approvals.
- Adhere to cash handling, refunds, and transaction procedures with accuracy and integrity.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency to maximize productivity and minimize unnecessary steps in workflow.
- Ability to effectively communicate with Customers, Associates, and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative manner.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
- Ability to use store equipment, stand/walk for up to 100% of shift, and move around the store.
- Regular bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, carrying, reaching, and stooping as part of daily tasks.
- Occasional lifting over 25 pounds and use of janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.

The base pay range for this role is $18.00 - $18.50, dependent on factors including experience, skills, and location. This range is one component of the total compensation package.
