ALL ABOUT STYLE: A Style Consultant is a team member who ensures strong operations and an excellent guest experience through in-store presentations, visual merchandising, and knowledgeable service. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, meeting their needs on the sales floor and in the fitting room, and maintaining floor readiness with correct product pricing and signage.

• Guest service fundamentals and a guest-first culture
• Retail business fundamentals including sales trends, inventory management, pricing and promotions, and basic visual merchandising
• Industry trends including style, seasonality, and brand differentiation
• Set, fill, and price the floor according to guest needs

Typical responsibilities may include the following:

• Drive sales and maintain a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, signage, and product knowledge
• Use store tools to understand sales and inventory, and assist guests as needed
• Sort freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience
• Maintain product availability and a full floor via priority fills and replenishment
• Maintain backroom organization and support replenishment and guest requests
• Remerchandise as items sell through to deliver an inspiring shopping experience
• Support price changes and clearance merchandising
• Maintain and use fitting rooms to welcome and assist guests
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by moving items from fitting rooms to the sales floor
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance at all times
• Work safely; comply with safety policies and training; report hazards
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up, and Drive-up while adhering to laws
• Greet guests and assist with daily tasks; thank guests for shopping at Target
• Other duties based on business needs

• Ability to resolve guest questions quickly and stay composed in a fast-paced environment

Basic requirements:

• Handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb ladders; lift up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments
