All About On Demand:
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you are not included on the posted weekly schedule, but you can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via our myTime app.

Reliable attendance is necessary. Active engagement by picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours) is expected. If you do not respond to contact attempts or do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. You may be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term training schedule before using the myTime app to pick shifts.

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Knowledgeable about in-store and digital services that drive adoption and loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring quality.

What we are looking for includes the following potential skills and expectations.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs when assistance is required.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
• Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment as needed. Be familiar with fulfillment services, directing guests to enroll, activate, and use them.
• Explain and demonstrate Wallet and other Target App features.
• Handle returns by following register prompts and consulting with leadership as needed, adhering to policies and procedures.
• De-escalate situations with leadership support to recover the guest shopping experience.
• Provide easy and accurate service to Order Pick Up (OPU), Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and stock supplies during store hours.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance at all times; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as OPU, Drive-Up orders and returns, maintaining compliance with laws including adult beverage regulations where applicable.
• Support cash office processes as needed, including cash systems management.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Accurately handle cash register operations and cash office support as needed.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally with assistance.
• Flexibility to pick up shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Active engagement by picking up shifts; must work at least one shift within 5 months or face administrative termination.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift.
