While previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Location:
Oahu – Kailua, HI 96734
Schedule:
5 days, 40 hours per week
Sunday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Wednesday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Thursday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Saturday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Compensation per hour: $16.00Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to follow instructions
- Adhere to safety procedures at all times
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in assigned duties, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning spills, restrooms, offices, sidewalks, pathways, window sills, railings, stairways, parking lots, removing bird droppings, light scrubbing, and cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces.

- Restock cleaning supplies as needed
- Empty trash receptacles, wastebaskets, and recyclables, disposing of them in designated areas
- Multi‑task and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Uphold a high standard of professionalism and customer service
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, co‑workers, vendors, and property managers
- Report safety issues or building problems (e.g., burnt light bulbs)
- Notify the appropriate HBM employee regarding needed supplies and equipment for cleaning duties
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor or property manager
Qualifications:
- Must pass the HBM prescreen check.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred, but we are willing to train enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong public relations and communication skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Capable of performing basic manual labor, including cleaning common areas, frequently lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying a minimum of 30 lbs. (up to 50 lbs.), reaching overhead, grasping objects, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stretching, walking, and standing throughout shifts.
- Experience operating various cleaning machinery preferred but not required (e.g., leaf blower, power washer, floor scrubber).
