Job DescriptionAs an Airport Law Enforcement Officer - Armed Patrol in Kahului, HI
, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, its travelers, and airport operations. Position Type:
Part Time - Morning
Pay Rate: $28.86 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.58. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Tue 04:30 AM - 02:30 PM;
Sat 04:30 AM - 02:30 PM
Minimum Qualifications (NO EXCEPTIONS)
To be considered, all applicants must meet the following criteria:
- 2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level)
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
- Valid Driver's License
- Law Enforcement Officer License
- 22+ years of age
Basic Qualifications
The basic qualifications listed below are representative of the relevant knowledge, skills, and/or experience required to be hired. These are minimum requirements for success in this role.
Formal Education, Licenses, And Certifications Required
- Certified State law enforcement recruit training
- Certified County law enforcement recruit training
- Federal law enforcement training
- Programs approved by the Director
- Each LEO must possess the following minimum qualifications:
- No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968
- 22(g)(9) convictions or documented truthfulness infractions for federal impeachment (Giglio/Henthorn references)
- A valid driver's license required for driving positions
Knowledge And Skills Required
- Must be able to supervise Contractor's personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on security matters, complaints, and related duties.

- Shall have no record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental or emotional disorders that may interfere with performance of duties.
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem-solving approach.
- Exercise sound judgment and render immediate, appropriate decisions under stress.
- Maintain maturity in conduct and attitude.
- Take orders, follow instructions, and assume responsibility for actions.
- Maintain alertness, attentiveness, and professional conduct; recognize, respond, and take appropriate actions to various situations.
- Demonstrate strong moral character and high standards of truthfulness.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Be courteous in interactions with the public, airport staff, tenants, and other personnel.
- LEOs may be required to appear in court; contractor shall provide replacement staffing for court appearances.
- Mentally and emotionally capable of performing all duties required for assigned post/duties.
- In good physical health and able to perform duties requiring moderate to arduous exertion (standing, walking, patrolling, climbing stairs, running, self-defense).
- Ability to perform essential physical tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 25 lbs and assisting in safe evacuation of individuals.
