Objective:
This desired candidate will be a motivated individual with the ability to evaluate, diagnose, and fix a variety of maintenance needs. This position requires an extensive knowledge base and diagnostic skills for all major appliances and general maintenance requests for condominium and home repairs. This position requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Previous hotel or condominium experience is a plus.
Job Description/Duties:
- Complete routine maintenance and repairs in all residences in our inventory.
- Maintains rooms in optimal operating condition by performing repairs as needed.
- Understands the preventative maintenance program in place and is able to create a schedule to ensure this is achieved.
- Replaces or repairs damaged bathroom fixtures and executes general plumbing and electrical as needed.
- Maintains the overall appearance of the room; repairs furniture, replaces light fixtures, does touchup painting, curtain and blind repairs etc.
- Ability to perform carpet, grout, and upholstery cleaning with supplied equipment to maintain the interior of individual residences of the highest level.
- Troubleshoots rooms heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems.
- Maintains operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs.
- Maintains and assists in the cleanliness of individual work area.
- Demonstrates familiarity with the residence’s safety systems and takes corrective action on any maintenance or operating problems which affect the security or operating condition of the hotel.
- Reports any hazards or injuries in the department and takes immediate action to correct.
- Maintaining and sustaining an inventory of necessary items and equipment required to perform various jobs in the most efficient manner.
