Assistant Manager

Overview

Assistant Manager role at Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar. Flynn Group is a large multi-brand restaurant operator and franchisee focused on delivering guest experiences through its core values:

• Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines and achieve established unit objectives.
• Cultivate a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values.
• Respond to and correct verbal guest complaints with staff support as needed.
• Prioritize guest contact and complete required table visits per Flynn Applebee's standards.
• Maintain departmental inventory levels and ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards (line checks).
• Schedule employees effectively to meet sales demands.
• Maintain safety and security programs; promote restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation.
• Perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs to the General Manager/Area Director.
• Recruit and refer potential team members and managers; support training procedures for new managers.
• Develop staff through orientation, training sessions, meetings, and policy implementation.
• Assess employee performance, provide regular feedback, and support ongoing development.
• Monitor performance and take disciplinary or corrective action when needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, practices and procedures; control costs in the assigned department.
• Adhere to local, state and federal laws and regulations.
• Assist with inventories and complete daily paperwork accurately.
• Maintain sanitation standards that meet Health Department and Flynn Applebee's requirements.
• Serve as a role model for managers and staff; develop store-related technology skills.
• Be willing and able to work in all positions as needed (e.g., cooking, expo, seating guests, bartending).
• Participate in the Management Development Program for leadership growth.

• At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience.
• Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus.

Applebee's® Assistant Managers: $20.98 to $27.27 per hour (approximately $60,000 to $78,000 annually based on a 50-hour work week). Potential for monthly bonus, location-dependent. • Work varying shifts including weekends.
• Stand or walk for up to ten hours; move quickly as needed.
