Responsibilities

Sandy Pines is a 149-bed Residential Psychiatric Facility in South Florida, serving children and adolescents aged 5 to 17. It is located near Jonathan Dickinson State Park, close to the Atlantic Ocean.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing primary care coordination for patients.
• Implementing collaborative care plans as prescribed by physicians and the treatment team.
• Assessing mental health needs, developing diagnoses, and planning care.
• Monitoring effects of medications and treatments.
• Ensuring safety and managing therapeutic milieu and crisis intervention strategies.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a psychiatric healthcare setting preferred.
• Current Florida RN licensure and BLS certification.
• CPR certification and completion of restraining procedures training within 30 days.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and communicate effectively.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to move quickly, stand, sit, walk, and respond to alarms or signals.
• Ability to bend, reach, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform manual tasks.
