Base pay range$15.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Day-to-Day:
The Mental Health Technician (MHT) plays a crucial role in the patient treatment team, working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. This position involves providing comprehensive care and support to patients, different groups of adolescents, depending on the specific unit. The MHT is responsible for maintaining a therapeutic environment, ensuring patient safety, and facilitating therapeutic activities.
Must Haves:
- High School / GED
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- At least 1 year working in a healthcare setting (preferably with youth/in behavioral health setting).
- Comfortable working in a youth rehabilitation / psychiatric center
- Must be able to prioritize workload, effectively multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment. Excellent listening, communication, prioritization and follow through skills with strong focus on providing high quality patient care.
These are also long shifts with both morning and night shifts available depending on the candidate's flexibility. This role is paying anywhere from $15-20/hr.
