The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Northern Region Highways and Aviation is looking for an Equipment Operator Journey 2 in Eagle to help us Keep Alaska Moving!

• Operates and services heavy and light-duty equipment for the year‑round maintenance of state highways and airports, including snow removal, grading, and material hauling.
• Maintains vegetation, signs, bridges, culverts, drainage structures, bike paths, and road surfaces within the State Right-of-Way.
• Performs traffic control duties such as flagging and may serve as a lead, completing daily entries in the Maintenance Management System (MMS).
• Conducts equipment upkeep, welding, cutting, and general maintenance tasks as needed.
• Operates various specialized equipment including graders, loaders, dozers, dump trucks, snow blowers, semi‑trucks, and steam boilers for maintenance and repair operations.

This is a full‑time seasonal position located in Eagle, Alaska, within the Tok District. Expect a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with varied responsibilities and conditions. You’ll work independently and as part of a team, often in challenging weather or terrain. Shift work and emergency responses are part of the role, and safety is a priority. Our supportive team and ongoing training ensure you have the tools to succeed in any situation.
