Position Overview

Guest experience guide and driver for our Alaska adventure camp. Responsibilities include greeting guests, ensuring safety, providing accurate information, and maintaining bus and camp cleanliness.

• Greets guests at the dock, collects and verifies tickets, directs them to the bus.
• Ensures guests experience the “EXCURSION of a lifetime” by attending to their needs, answering questions, and reporting issues.
• Prepares and performs headcount, explains liability waivers, and obtains docking permissions.
• Safely transports guests to and from Adventure Camp, Horseback Ranch, and other drop‑off points, adhering to schedules.
• Provides narrated tours, sharing scripted information accurately.
• Maintains guest safety: pre‑trip bus inspection, follows speed limits, assists with vehicle access, reviews safety guidelines, monitors children with parents.
• Serves as tour escort, accompanying guests throughout excursions.
• Performs camp chores: watering dogs, assisting dog staff, stocking refreshments, cleaning puppy pens, bathrooms, and general camp area.
• Maintains bus cleanliness, reports issues, refuels.
• Communicates accurate guest counts via radio to dock and office, transports supplies as needed.

• If the dock representative is absent, verifies guest counts with shore excursion staff, updates dock representative via radio, ensures tickets are delivered to dock or office.
• Shuttle Glacier Point guests to and from Small Boat Harbor as needed.

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CDL with passenger endorsement.
• Valid DOT Medical Certificate.
• Ability to work varied shift hours.
