The Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of Administrative Services, is recruiting for a Systems Programmer 3 located in Juneau! No Cover Letter Required!

This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 23.

• Lead the development, enhancement, and support of critical departmental systems across the full software development life cycle.
• Serve as a full‑stack developer, working on both front‑end and back‑end components for multiple platforms.
• Maintain and optimize legacy applications while implementing enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
• Drive modernization initiatives, including replacing outdated systems with innovative, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define technical strategies and deliver impactful solutions for systems such as Unemployment Insurance Benefits and Tax, Workers’ Compensation, and Research and Analysis.

This position is based at the Department of Labor & Workforce Development building in Juneau, Alaska, located along the scenic waterfront with ample parking.
