ATTENTION ALASKA RESIDENTS!
The Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, is recruiting for a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor 1/2/3. No Cover Letter Required. This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 15/17/19 and is located in Juneau. It may be relocated within Alaska with necessary approvals where infrastructure allows.
What You Will Be DoingAs a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor 1/2/3, you will provide vocational rehabilitation counseling to consumers with disabilities, assisting them in obtaining and maintaining competitive, integrated employment. You will work with employers to develop relationships that provide employment opportunities for consumers of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.

The Working Environment You Can ExpectThis position is located in the Juneau Branch Office with approximately ten to twelve employees. The office operates during regular business hours (8 am – 5 pm) with flexibility and the ability for telework will have significant autonomy in scheduling your day and managing your workflow.
Who We Are Looking ForWe are interested in candidates who possess some or all of the following position‑specific competencies:

** Level 1**: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and one year of paraprofessional or professional experience providing social assistance services to people with disabilities. Graduate education in a related field substitutes for the required experience.
** Level 2**: A master’s degree from an accredited college in vocational rehabilitation, psychology, social work, or a closely related counseling discipline.
** Level 3**: A Certification in Rehabilitation Counseling (CRC) from the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification.
Documents Required At The Time Of Interview- Three professional references, one of which should be your most recent supervisor (name, job title, employer, and current phone number).
- Copy of your last three performance evaluations or two letters of reference.
- Transcripts from post‑secondary institution (unofficial copies acceptable).
- Copy of your CRC if applying at Level 3.
