Alaska Marine Trucking is excited to look for mechanics to join our Juneau based team in our state-of-the-art heavy equipment shop. Our mechanics specialize in maintaining some of the largest forklifts in the world. We connect communities in Alaska with our fleet of tractors ranging from Kenworth T800’s to the newer Kenworth T680’s and over 100 chassis.

What You Will Be Doing:- Perform DOT/Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) safety inspections.
- Assist with major component swaps such as hydraulic pump, engines, and transmissions.
- Use your basic welding skills.

- Ability to perform electrical, hydraulic, engine, A/C and emissions system diagnostics and repairs.
- Must have at least a Class A CDL permit.
- Minimum of 1 year of mechanical experience.
- Willing to travel when needed.
- 52T forklift certified.
- Provide your own toolbox and sufficient hand tools to perform most assigned duties.
- Ability to show up to work on time and ready to work.
Schedule:
- Opportunities for day shift and night shift are available.
- Night shifts include premium pay.
- Optional 12‑hour shifts available Monday through Thursday (4 times a week).
- Full‑time position with ample overtime.
