We are looking for a Light Duty Mechanic to help us keep Alaska moving!
What you will be doing- Perform repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of light‑duty fleet vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs.
- Diagnose and repair problems using computer diagnostics and other tools.
- Perform routine and specialized maintenance and repairs; recognize and diagnose issues during preventative maintenance.
- Repair gasoline and diesel engines; identify, order, and document parts and materials on work orders.
- Maintain, repair, and modify transmission and drive trains, suspension, engine and emission systems, hydraulic systems, brakes (including air), and electrical systems for light and heavy‑duty equipment.

Working EnvironmentThis position is located at 6860 Glacier Highway, Juneau, AK. Some travel by small plane to remote locations may be required.
Who we are looking for- Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to change.
- Vehicle maintenance knowledge of motor vehicle engines and systems.
- Self‑management: goal‑setting, initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Starting salary depends on qualifications and experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Copy of commercial driver’s license, if available.
- Three professional references (name, title, phone number).
Employees provide their own hand tools and receive a monthly allowance determined by the manager.
