Overview
UAS Food Services is hiring a temporary part-time cook to assist with food service operations, including grill and hot line, cashiering and customer service, and barista duties. We strongly encourage women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and veterans to apply.
Responsibilities- Assist with food service operations, including grill and hot line, cashiering and customer service, and barista duties.
- Cook, plan, and execute menus for large groups (up to 150 customers at meal time).
- Maintain health and safety standards and comply with food handling and sanitation requirements for DEC approved operation.
- Utilize computer programs to track sales and inventory; knowledge of POS and inventory control systems.
- Minimum 2-3 years of cooking experience in restaurant cooking. Grill and hot line experience preferred.
- Health and safety regulation experience and training.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of cash handling practices and POS/inventory control systems.
- Ability to use computer programs to track sales and inventory.
- Ability to work on-site at UA facilities as required; on-site work may be required.
This position is located on the UAS campus in Juneau, AK. This is a part-time, non-exempt temporary staff position. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 75, based on education and experience.
