Pay Information
- Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
- External Hires: This position starts at $48.60 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience.
Please note: In lieu of fringe benefits, casual employees will receive a $2.00 per hour differential.
Job SummaryUnder general direction of the Director, this position provides care-transition for patients moving to higher or lower levels of care from the Emergency Department. This is a position within the Case Management Department which includes nurse and social work case managers who collaborate with nursing, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure that optimal, quality care is delivered in the most efficient and cost-effective manner by monitoring specific patient care needs and providing care coordination and resource referral to ensure effective outcomes.
This position must prioritize, identify, and intervene to address broader patient care needs.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Preferred Education:
- Experience: Three (3) years of acute care nursing experience.
- Preferred Experience:
One (1) year experience in utilization review, case management, care coordination, quality management or similar role is preferred.
- Preferred Experience:
- License(s): Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse license. (must meet education requirement(s) for Alaska State licensure)
- Certification(s): Reference Mandatory Education for Clinical and Support Staff Policy for most current Certification requirements.
