Join us as a Facilities Specialist and take the lead in maintaining our buildings and properties. Under the direction of the Facilities Director, you’ll be responsible for protecting the agency’s assets, extending the life of structures, and ensuring cost control and efficiency. This role focuses on performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction tasks related to building interiors, including structural upkeep, minor plumbing, and construction while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
This position will also help maintain the grounds with snow and debris removal and landscaping. You’ll also assist the Facilities Director with assigned projects, ensuring our properties are safe, functional, and visually appealing.
Pay rates offered are determined based on a standardized scale that considers relevant experience and education.
Minimum Qualifications- A High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician or related experience
- An associate's degree or college credits in a directly related field can substitute experience on a year to year basis
All JAMHI positions require the ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with the current state regulation requirements and a valid Alaska driver's license and be able to clear the JAMHI auto insurance screening through the independent insurance carrier if driving.
