Pay Rate: $89,273.00 to $/yearly.
Summary:
The Clinical Social Worker provides psychosocial assessment, counseling, care coordination, and discharge planning services to patients and families in an acute care medical setting. This role supports patients coping with illness, injury, and hospitalization by addressing emotional, social, environmental, and financial factors that impact care and recovery. The Social Worker collaborates closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, timely, and appropriate transitions of care.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients and families.
Provide short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and emotional support.
Assist patients in coping with illness, trauma, disability, and end-of-life issues.
Identify social determinants of health affecting treatment and recovery.

Requirements
Requirements:
MSW (Master of Social Work) from an accredited school of Social Work
One (1) year experience in hospital or health-care setting.
State of Alaska license at Master’s level (LMSW) required or eligibility.
Valid Alaska State driver’s license is required.
Basic knowledge of computer use.
Prefer experience working in cross-cultural setting with bilingual language skills in English & Yup'ik.
Ability to read, comprehend & write at the college level & effectively present information in one-on-one & group situations to patients/clients, agencies, communities, & other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply/divide in all units of measure, with whole numbers, common fractions, & decimals; compute rate, ratio, percent; draw/interpret bar graphs.
Should be able to perform supervisory tasks when supervisor is away, work independently and in collaboration with other social worker.
