Pay Information:
- EVS Tech 1 starts at $20.47 per hour.
- EVS Tech 2 starts at $22.40 per hour.
- Please note:
In lieu of fringe benefits, Casual employees will receive a $2.00 per hour differential.
EVS Tech 1: Under general supervision of the Environmental Services Lead, performs daily linen duties and/or daily cleaning of inpatient, ancillary, outpatient and administrative areas of Bartlett Regional Hospital. The EVS Tech 1 ensures patients, visitors and hospital staff have a safe, clean, functional and aesthetically attractive physical environment consistent with the standards established by Bartlett Regional Hospital, The Joint Commission, the State of Alaska and other regulatory agencies.
EVS Tech 2: Under general supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, the EVS Tech 2 functions as the floor expert in addition to performing routine Environmental Services functions. The EVS Tech 2 maintains facility floors by stripping, waxing, cleaning carpets, and using other mechanical equipment to perform their job duties. This position performs a variety of general cleaning tasks of inpatient, ancillary, outpatient, and administrative areas of Bartlett Regional Hospital.
The EVS Tech 2 ensures patients, visitors, and hospital staff have a safe, clean, functional, and aesthetically attractive physical environment consistent with the standards established by Bartlett Regional Hospital, The Joint Commission, the State of Alaska and other regulatory agencies.
EVS Tech 1
- Preferred Education:
High School diploma or the equivalent. - Preferred Experience:
Experience in institutional housekeeping. - Certification(s):

EVS Tech 2
- Preferred Education:
High School diploma or the equivalent. - Experience:
Six (6) months of experience as a custodian or similar position with floor care experience. - Certification(s):
None - License(s):
None
