Job Summary: Join our Rehabilitation Services team. This recruitment is open until filled. The Physical Therapist uses exercise and modalities to treat pain and movement disorders, restoring normal movement in accordance with a physician’s referral. The role includes participation in hospital committees and teams, maintaining the highest standards of business and professional ethics, following APTA standards, and compliance with state and federal laws.
Compensation: External hires start at $51.36 per hour; internal hires per applicable personnel rules. The position is eligible for a sign‑on bonus, relocation assistance, and 30 days of housing. Contact Human Resources at 907‑796‑8418 for details.
Essential Functions:
- Provide physical therapy services to patients following physician referrals.
- Plan and implement individualized treatment plans, including exercise programs and modalities.
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning.
- Serve as a team member to meet patient and departmental goals.
- Maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, employee, and other sensitive information.
- Work in accordance with all applicable laws and professional standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an APTA‑approved School of Physical Therapy with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral Degree; completes annual educational requirements.
- Preferred:
One year of physical therapist experience, including inpatient CCU, acute, rehab, outpatient, and pediatrics. - License:
Current State of Alaska Physical Therapist license. Valid driver’s license required for Home Care Services. - Certification:
Current malpractice insurance and reliable transportation required for Home Care Services.
