What You Will Be Doing The Alcohol and Marijuana Control Office (AMCO) are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable employee to join our team as a Licensing Examiner
2. Under the direction of the Alcohol Licensing Supervisor, you will be responsible for reviewing alcohol and/or marijuana applications for Board approval as well as fielding customer service calls from licensees, the public, government agencies, attorneys, and legislative representatives. Additionally, you will be assisting with different aspects of the board meetings and gain working knowledge of statutes and regulations for both alcohol and marijuana programs in order to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and assist with the ongoing transition and implementation of the new licensing system, AK-ACCIS.

In your role you will be an essential part of the licensing team that reviews applications for alcohol and/or marijuana establishments and deems them complete for the Boards approval.

The Working Environment You Can Expect The position is part of a seven-person licensing examiner team located in downtown Anchorage in the Robert
B. Atwood Building, which has a spectacular view of the inlet, close to the Delaney Park strip, and within walking distance of various popular restaurants.
