What You Will Be Doing
- The Accountant 4 will serve as a high-level supervisor and principal assistant to the Accounting Section Manager for a complex and critical unit within the Alaska Medicaid program.
- Provides oversight of reform and cost-savings initiatives, including management of the Third-Party Liability (TPL) contractor.
- Supports Medicaid, Allocation, and Audit Services (MAAS) with annual budget management, reporting, and reconciliation across multiple fund sources.
- Oversees recoveries and collections tied to federal settlements, restitution, commercial insurance, and Indian Health Services (IHS) and IHS-related funding streams.
- Leads reconciliation and reporting for CMS 64, CMS R-199, CMS-10180, IBNR, Drug Rebates, and Medicaid/CHIP program audits, including legislative audit responses.

Working Environment You Can ExpectThis position offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, based on the Division's business needs; telework is possible after training and approval from the Division Director. This position will be supervised by an anchor-based position in Anchorage.
