The Department of Natural Resources, Support Services Division, is recruiting for an Accountant 5 in Juneau.

This position is open to Alaska Residents only.

This position serves as the Department Finance Officer overseeing operations in accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounts for grants and reimbursable service agreements teams.

Duties and responsibilities include analyzing, interpreting, and reporting financial data; modifying accounting systems; establishing internal controls; analyzing costs; and providing financial oversight and supervision of agency accounting functions.

This position serves as one of the department’s primary ALDER experts, report developers, and trainers.

This position works with a staff of 14; the fourteen positions serve as the department’s financial services team.

The team is responsible for setting policy direction, supervising, and managing the department’s financial aspects, including operating and capital budgets.
