Base Salary:
Engineer/Architect 1: $3,776.00 biweekly (OT Ineligible). Engineer/Architect 2: $4,032.80 biweekly (OT Ineligible).
What you will be doing:
As one of the Utilities Leads within the Central Region Traffic Safety & Utilities Section, you will oversee all utility‑related activities necessary for utility permitting and the development of small to medium capital improvement projects proposed within DOT&PF managed right‑of‑way. You will coordinate efforts of DOT&PF design staff and engineering consultants, supervise a team of three engineering assistants, and develop proficiency in all utility and supervisory duties with a structured training plan, advancing to Engineer/Architect 2 level.

- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect.
Engineer/Architect 1
Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect. If not registered in Alaska, must be registered in a state recognized by the State Board of Registration and become registered in Alaska within one year of hire.
Engineer/Architect 2
Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect and at least one year of professional experience as an Engineer/Architect 1 or Engineering Associate in Alaska. Similar registration requirements apply for non‑Alaska licenses.
