• Report to School Administrative Secretary upon arrival.
• Follow the lesson plan left by the teacher for whom you are substituting in accordance with district policies, goals, and objectives.
• Maintain, as fully possible, the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom assigned as directed by the regular teacher.
• Assume responsibility for overseeing and managing student behaviors in class and during lunch and recess periods.
• Follow all policies, rules, and procedures to which regular teachers are subject.
• Operate and care for equipment used in the classroom for instructional purposes.
• Check and record student attendance.
• Inform the absent teacher or building administrator of any problems or special information about an individual student.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Follow the school board policies of the Matanuska Susitna Borough School District.

SUB PAY MATRIX:

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Applicants must complete an interview, background check, and fingerprints.

• Experience working with children and adolescents preferred.

Light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than that of Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
