Position Summary: Works primarily with students in special education. Presents material and activities to improve skills in areas such as reading, writing, math, computers, and vocational education. Works individually or in small groups. Records grades, progress, and behavior.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of:
- Files and record keeping.
- Personal computers and related software.
- School-age children's behavior.
- Behavior modification.
Ability to:
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Provide instructional assistance in assigned areas.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Operate a personal computer and related software.
- Maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, and parents.
Position Details: Full-time, 9-month position (.9333 FTE), working 35 hours per week. Starting salary: $23.60/hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PERS retirement, and paid time off.
