Kake City School District is seeking a dedicated and flexible Special Education Teacher to serve students in grades PreK–12. This position supports a small, rural school community of approximately 100 students in Kake, Alaska.

• Provide specialized instruction to students with a range of disabilities, from mild/moderate to severe.
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with general education staff and families.
• Deliver services across multiple grade levels and settings (pull‑out, push‑in, inclusive).
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on individual needs.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education requirements.

• Must hold a valid Alaska Type C Special Education teaching certificate.
• Experience working with a variety of disability categories required.
• Prior Alaska teaching experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
