Overview
This position is open to Alaska Residents only. The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children s Services (OCS) is recruiting for a full-time Office Assistant 3 located in Anchorage, Alaska.

Residency definition should be reviewed to determine qualification.
This position leads a clerical unit of two Office Assistant 2s by assigning work, setting task priorities, and evaluating performance. Primary responsibility includes providing hard copy case record management and administrative support for the Anchorage Regional Office, with independent responsibility for providing hard copies to other regions and to court agencies as needed. Responsibilities also include complete closed case file management from initiation to archiving per current OCS directives, assisting with CP background checks of prospective Adoptive Parents and licensing agencies, and independently archiving files for clients aged out of the system stored at a remote location for future reference.

High school diploma or equivalent. Substitution:
Education from an accredited college may substitute for six months of the required experience. One year of experience including clerical tasks such as reception duties, retrieving information, processing expenditures/receipts, or typing routine correspondence.
- Some positions may require motor vehicle operation and a valid driver s license; some may require typing skills.
