Administrative Assistant for the Board of Directors
Join to apply for the Administrative Assistant for the Board of Directors role at South East Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC). Pay Range: $25.00 - $31.88. Provides administrative support to the Board Liaison, interacting with board members and maintaining internal and external communication. Under the supervision of the Board Liaison, provides administrative, logistical and project support to the board of directors.

Shift Details- Mon‑Fri 8:00‑17:00
- Occasional odd hours and weekends as needed
- Provides administrative support to the Board Liaison, interacting with board members, corporate staff, supervisors, department heads, and agencies.
- Develops, implements and maintains records and files.
- Coordinates travel arrangements for staff and board members.
- Assists in distribution of reports.
- Schedules internal and external board meetings, coordinates logistics, prepares materials and follows up.
- Screens, directs and prioritizes calls and correspondence, acting as first point of contact.
- Completes special projects, including investigation, research, data collection and presentation.
- Attends meetings to record minutes and disseminate information.
- Orders office supplies, covers reception, greets guests, assists in mailroom, housekeeping and other duties.
- Supports the Board Liaison with duties related to board meetings, report preparation and communications.
- Associate’s Degree in Business Management, Health Care Administration or related field preferred; relevant work experience may be substituted.
- At least 2 years office experience as an executive assistant or equivalent, demonstrating advanced office functions.
- Advanced knowledge of word‑processing applications.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet applications.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and processes.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Performs multiple complex administrative processes simultaneously, independently and confidentially.
- Communicates clearly, concisely and effectively in writing and orally.
- Analyzes problems and proposes logical solutions while maintaining confidentiality.
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time via jet, small aircraft, and ferry.
- Complies with safe work rules and reports accidents immediately.
- Cooperates in accident investigations and reports defective equipment and unsafe conditions.
- Regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.
Work Shift:
40 hours per week, overtime opportunities.
