SummaryThe Outside Sales Representative is to drive new business growth across the region. This individual will be responsible for building and managing a personal book of business, developing strong customer relationships, and representing the company’s full suite of transportation solutions.
Responsibilities- Develop and grow a personal book of business by identifying new opportunities within the transportation and logistics space.
- Prospect, qualify, and close new accounts across the assigned territory.
- Maintain long-term customer relationships, providing ongoing support and problem-solving.
- Conduct in-person client visits, presentations, and meetings to understand customer needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with internal operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Track activities, pipeline, and performance metrics using CRM tools.
- Stay updated on market trends, customer challenges, and competitive offerings.
Preferred Skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned region as needed.
Educations & Experience
- 3–5+ years of outside sales experience in transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, or a closely related industry.
- Proven ability to build and sustain a book of business.
- Strong hunter mentality with a focus on relationship-based selling.
