With moderate supervision, the Retail Keyholder assists the store management team in executing and supervising all store activities. They provide outstanding guest service experiences within a sales culture that utilizes elements of Game Stop’s Circle of Life buy, sell, trade, and reservation business model.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide best‑in‑class guest service: greet guests promptly, answer questions and concerns courteously, and assist guests in meeting their video gaming needs.
  • Inform guests about special promotions, the trade‑in program, and recommend additional items as appropriate.
  • Apply all selling behaviors during each transaction and express gratitude to every guest for choosing Game Stop.
  • Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
  • Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS computer system.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, courteously, and professionally.
  • Promote Game Stop’s unique guest benefits, such as the new title reservations program and the Pro Rewards guest loyalty program.
  • Ensure all areas of the store, including restrooms, are clean, organized, and merchandised according to company guidelines.
  • Perform daily omni‑channel orders and safeguard company assets through effective inventory control and loss prevention practices.
  • Conduct store inventory counts, restock merchandise, and keep the selling floor organized and alphabetized.
  • Support store management in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative and operational duties.
  • Reconcile daily business transaction totals in the POS system and complete bank deposit paperwork accurately.
  • Check shipments for discrepancies or shortages and record them in the POS system.
  • Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately and promptly with proper labeling.
  • Visually inspect associates’ and leaders’ packages and/or belongings at closing or shift end.
  • Supervise, delegate, and provide timely feedback to sales associates in the absence of management.
  • Follow all opening and closing procedures and consistently adhere to Game Stop policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
  • Video game knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.

  • Follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
  • Deliver bank deposits following loss prevention safety guidelines.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including extended hours/days such as nights, weekends, and holidays. Minimum 3 days per week availability.
  • Remain effective under pressure and handle stress in an acceptable manner.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach with arms/hands, climb ladders, and lift merchandise up to 30 lbs.
  • Stand and move throughout the store unassisted to provide guest service or perform tasks for up to 10 hours per day.

Benefits

Full‑time store positions at Game Stop are eligible to participate in incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Positions may also be eligible for a bonus and/or other incentives.

Compensation

$15.50 - $18.25
