Position Summary
The IT Specialist works with the company’s IT Managed Services Provider to support users and IT systems, improve and audit security posture, and participate in technical research, development, and implementation to support innovation within the organization.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Assist the IT Managed Services Provider with employee and vendor IT support by fielding communications, traveling between markets for on‑site support, resolving issues, providing feedback, and implementing continuous improvement.
- Support day‑to‑day Identity and Access Management (IAM) activities including user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access change requests across a portfolio of applications.
- Assist the IT Managed Service Provider with the purchase, configuration, installation, repair, or replacement of hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Plan, implement, and maintain IAM and IT equipment lifecycle processes.
- Work with the IT Managed Service Provider and Director of IT to spearhead the implementation and enhancement of cybersecurity policies, processes, tools, and user training.
- Perform and support internal and external IT audits and manage responses to observations.
- Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the organization.
- Provide IT project management services by coordinating, planning, and implementing technology‑related projects and initiatives.
- Maintain and uphold IT policies and procedures knowledge base.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school, or two years of position‑related experience.
- Moderate understanding of information systems, mobile devices, and other technical products.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle and have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Curious, proactive, and highly detail‑oriented with a relentless pursuit of overcoming barriers and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to compare alternative solutions, reach conclusions, and solve problems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with teams across the entire organization.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills necessary for success in a cross‑functional, fast‑paced environment with frequently shifting priorities.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Apple hardware and software technology is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Azure AD, Teams, SharePoint, and One Drive, is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Works in a temperature‑controlled environment with low noise levels.
- Prolonged periods of sitting required.
- Occasionally required to walk, stand, lift, pull, or push objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
