Summary:
The Mobile Medical Office Support Specialist for the Mobile Mental Health Unit is responsible for coordinating daily operations, scheduling, and transportation logistics to ensure efficient and safe delivery of behavioral health services in rural and underserved areas. This role includes driving the mobile unit, managing appointment schedules, and supporting the multidisciplinary care team. The Mobile Medical Office Support Specialist demonstrates a warm and welcoming, empathic, and hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery.
They provide services to individuals impacted by behavioral health and substance use disorders, recognizing that many have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. The Mobile Medical Office Support Specialist will be trained in trauma-informed care and will help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive to prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in behavioral health or medical office settings.
- Experience with scheduling and transportation coordination.
- Coordinate and maintain the mobile unit’s daily schedule, including appointments and staff logistics.
- Safely operate the mobile mental health unit vehicle to and from designated service locations.
- Ensure the mobile unit is maintained, fueled, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling and logistical coordination with community partners.
- Assist with client check-in and support staff with administrative tasks as needed.
- Follow HIPAA standards in securing protected health information.
- Enter data accurately and timely.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- TB test upon hire.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, photocopier, and other office equipment as needed.
- Sufficient sensory-motor dexterity to complete motor skill tasks, including vision, hearing, and speech.
