Job Summary:

The Reach Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a reach truck to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. This role ensures that goods are efficiently stored and retrieved, and that inventory levels are accurately maintained. The Reach Truck Driver plays a vital role in warehouse operations, helping with the organization and distribution of products.

Key Responsibilities:

* Safely operate a reach truck to load, unload, and move products in and out of the warehouse.

* Retrieve products from high shelves or storage locations using the reach truck and place them in designated areas.

* Perform routine checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in good working condition, and report any maintenance or safety concerns.

* Stack and organize products in a manner that optimizes space and reduces the risk of damage.

* Assist with inventory control by helping to count stock and update inventory records as needed.

* Ensure that all material handling equipment is used safely and efficiently to avoid damage to goods or injury.

* Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

* Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

* Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of the reach truck, reporting any issues to the maintenance team.

* Assist with loading and unloading trucks when necessary, and ensure all incoming and outgoing products are checked and verified.

* Ensure compliance with all company policies, health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

* Valid reach truck certification or forklift license.

* Previous experience operating a reach truck or similar equipment.

* Ability to work at heights (as reach trucks are used to access high shelves).

* Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.

* Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.

* Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks as required.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to follow safety guidelines and operating procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in warehouse logistics, shipping, and receiving.

* Certification in material handling equipment operation (e.g., OSHA-certified).

* Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.

Work Environment:

* Warehouse setting with exposure to machinery and large inventory storage areas.

* Requires standing, walking, and operating a reach truck for extended periods.

* May involve lifting, bending, or climbing ladders to access high shelves.

* Safety gear (e.g., helmets, high-visibility vests, and safety shoes) is required.
