Pain Management Practice Environment

This is an outpatient pain management practice within a well-resourced comprehensive medical center. Providers manage a diverse patient population with acute and chronic pain conditions, working collaboratively with physicians and support staff in a structured clinical environment. The focus is on scheduled clinical hours with no inpatient, on-call, or weekend responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions in an outpatient setting
• Perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and adjust therapies as indicated
• Order, interpret, and evaluate appropriate diagnostic tests and lab work
• Prescribe and manage medications, including controlled substances, per established protocols
• Educate patients on pain management strategies, treatment options, and expected outcomes
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic EMR
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical outcome initiatives

Candidate Requirements: Required:

• Active, unrestricted Georgia NP or PA license
• Board certified or board eligible
• Pain management experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency preferred

Preferred:

• Dedicated pain management subspecialty experience
• Prior locum tenens or contract assignment experience
• Experience in a high-volume outpatient clinical setting

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong clinical assessment and chronic pain management skills
• Comfortable working independently in an outpatient pain management environment
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Able to manage a full patient schedule during standard clinic hours
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices
