Developmental Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC – Walmart

Base Pay: $16.00/hr - $28.00/hr

This opening will support our on-site hiring event on 9/5 at Embassy Suites in Jonesboro, AR. Join us from 1-6pm.

As a Developmental Technician specializing in Refrigeration and HVAC Maintenance at our local retail store, your role will involve executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures.

• All primary responsibilities will be assisted or performed under the direct supervision of an experienced technician.
• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment) and hand/power tools.
• Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

• 18 years or older and High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs., work on ladders and heights frequently, handle various temperatures, and sit or stand for long periods.
• Hold a valid, state‑issued driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.

• Mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field experience for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
