general purposeresponsible for all aspects of the store's operations. Lead the entire operation to ensure company standards and best practices are consistently met. Staff, train, and develop the leadership team to deliver the desired sales and profit results while maintaining a friendly, easy‑to‑shop environment. Recruit, train, and develop associates. Manage operations of the stockroom, front end, and sales floor to ensure new merchandise reaches the floor promptly, goods are received properly, and expenses are controlled through best‑practice execution.

- lead all company best practices and maximize productivity by minimizing steps and touches.
- analyze store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and overall performance.
- address any variance to company standards with an appropriate action plan, partnering with the district manager as needed.
- ensure proper scheduling of associates to meet business objectives.
- accept special assignments as directed by leadership.
- manage payroll administration, including daily punch edits, scheduling compliance, sunday payroll transmission, and reportingbeiträge.
- recruit, hire, train, and develop assistant managers, area supervisors, and non‑exempt associates.
- through selection, training, and motivation, reduce store turnover, using incentive programs, recognition opportunities, contests, and training.
- ensure completion of all required training courses in a timely manner.
- address personnel and performance issues, including coaching and progressive discipline.
- ensure compliance with ross personnel policies and procedures.
- manage associate‑relations issues, consulting with the district manager as needed.
- ensure compliance with all state, local, and federal regulations.
- lead all expenditures to stay within budget.
- control payroll hours as the primary controllable expense.
- maintain adherence to company safety policies.
- ensure associates understand and can execute emergency operating procedures.
- treat all customers, associates, and other leaders with respect.
- demonstrate courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism at all times.
- execute customer‑service programs and merchandise‑presentation programs through associate training and program supervision.
- supervise and coach retail associates in providing efficient, friendly service at registers, customer‑service desks, fitting rooms, and sales floor.
- lead all store associates in, and model, a professional appearance in accordance with the company dress code.
- represent and support the company brand at all times.
- manage the store to ensure it is clean, neat, and easy to shop.
- maintain high standards of housekeeping with contracted maintenance personnel.
