Night Shift Production Supervisor – Trinity Industries
Trinity Industries is seeking a Night Shift Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, coordinating day‑to‑day operations and ensuring production targets are met efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities- Accomplish staff job results by planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; conducting training; implementing & enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the group in a maintenance production environment.
- Develop schedules, assign and monitor work, gather resources, implement productivity standards, resolve operations problems, maintain reference manuals, and implement new procedures.
- Collaborate with all site value streams to accomplish department and plant objectives.
- Set production goals for direct labor performance and meet deadlines in ways that comply with the company’s directives.
- Organize workflow and ensure employees understand their duties or delegated tasks and are trained accordingly.
- Review and approve work hours of direct reports on a daily or weekly basis; ensure attendance notices are maintained according to attendance policy; may input data in KRONOS, TRACS, RailRX, and EXCEL.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback, coaching, and hold difficult conversations, including disciplinary actions where necessary.
- Minimum of 3 years experience working as a lead or supervisory position in a maintenance or production manufacturing environment preferred; rail experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or similar field desired but not required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to effectively plan work procedures, equipment, material, and manpower needs.
- Flexibility to work day and night shifts.
