Machine Operator - 2nd Shift
Job located at Impact Environmental Group.
Shift: 2nd Shift (8:00 PM–8:00 AM), 3.5 days on, 3.5 days off. Shift differential +$2/hr.

Under the direction of the Plant Supervisor or a shift supervisor, the employee will utilize a mold machine to produce a product line of container lids. Responsibilities include setting up proper molds, setting, checking and maintaining temperature, cycle times, and air and water flow rates, and accurately measuring and distributing proper material into the mold, checking vent conditions. The employee will apply mold release, set vice clamps, and when the cycle is complete, remove molded parts inspecting for quality of product.
Parts are labeled with the written label or bar code, with sequential number and date. The employee will inspect mold and charge when required, keep the workstation clean, may rotate work assignments with other members of the machine crew, wear required safety gear, and may be assigned other jobs by supervision.
- Produce required product while maintaining quality and production standards.
- Inspect and change molds when required.
- Report any abnormalities, injuries or hazards to supervisor immediately.
- Knowledge of molding process, heat, water and air controls.
- Ability to work on a platform, bend, stoop, lift, grip, clamp, etc., in the performance of mold operation.
- Ability to lift, carry, stack and move bundles of product.
- Knowledge of and ability to safely inspect molds, heating and cooling sides, and mold machine in general.
- Ability to work in areas of high temperature for prolonged periods of time.
