FLOOR TECH

May be required to drive a St Bernard's vehicle  so, must have a clean driving record with no moving violations or accidents.

• Education:
  
  Must be literate, able to perform simple arithmetic, and follow oral and written instructions with limited supervision. Mechanical aptitude helpful.
• Experience:
  
  Previous experience helpful. An experienced worker will need three to five days of instructions and at least 30 days on-the-job training under the direction of the Assistant Manager to perform satisfactorily.
• Physical:
  This is a safety sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information. General hospital environment. Normal/corrected eyesight. Hearing within normal range. Exposure to chemical, electrical, and mechanical hazards. Operates floor machines – battery operated and electric, buffers, scrubbers, and wet vacuums and extractors. Continuous walking and standing. Lifting up to 75 lbs. Carrying up to 40lbs.
  
  Pushing/pulling up to 75lbs.

• Principal duties involve all major floor care project work including mopping, buffing, stripping, and refinishing floors and vacuuming, shampooing and extracting carpets. Duties also include wall washing.
