Position SummaryThe Network Analyst will serve as a critical member of the Networking team within the Enterprise Infrastructure division. You will be responsible for the robust connectivity that powers academic and administrative life. This includes managing the full lifecycle of our hardware—from core Cisco Catalyst switches to our expansive Aruba or Extreme wireless footprint—ensuring that our campus remains connected and secure.
Responsibilities- Core Switching:
Design, configure, and maintain Cisco switches (Catalyst 9000 series). You will manage Layer 2/3 configurations, ensuring high redundancy and performance across the university backbone. - Wireless Ecosystem:
Administer enterprise-grade wireless controllers and access points. You will be tasked with optimizing signal strength and roaming for high-density environments like lecture halls, stadium seating, and dormitories. - Enterprise Security Integration:
Work closely with the Systems team to implement Zero Trust security models and ensure network-level support for SSO and VPN policy transitions. - Network Operations:
Proactively monitor network health and lead rapid-response efforts for hardware failures or environmental issues, coordinating with vendors for RMAs and emergency repairs. - Capacity Planning:
Analyze traffic patterns to recommend infrastructure upgrades, ensuring the university’s network can support the increasing demands of modern research and digital learning.
- Switching:
Cisco Catalyst proficiency; experience with stacking, VLANs, NAT, and trunking. - Wireless:
Management of Aruba (Clear Pass/Aruba Central) and Extreme Networks (Cloud
IQ). - Routing:
Solid understanding of OSPF, BGP, and Layer 3 gateway redundancy. - Monitoring:
Experience with enterprise NMS tools for performance tracking and alerting.
Certifications:
CCNA/CCNP or professional-level certifications in Aruba or Extreme Networks are highly desirable

Experience:
3+ years of experience in enterprise networking, specifically in a large-scale campus or multi-site environment.

Education:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
