Overview
Perform imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Work may be performed in mobile health unit, clinic or hospital setting.
Job Responsibilities- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principles/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
- Operates mammography equipment and performs mammography procedures.
- Assists in developing a network of community stakeholders necessary to coordinate effective events with the mobile unit in surrounding areas.
- Promotes the services of mobile Mammography, Baptist, and the need for screening mammography in assigned areas.
- Completes documentation as required to comply with policies and procedures.
- Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment areas, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all Mammo competencies at the end of orientation period.
EducationCompletion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Mammography ARRT(M). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.

Skills:
Basic computer literacy skills required.
ARRT(R), ARRT(M); BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE.
