Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist specializing in echocardiography with experience in both echo and vascular studies for a night shift assignment.
Responsibilities- Position is in a non-invasive cardiology EKD unit
- Patient population includes cardiac patients requiring echo and vascular studies
- Average daily caseload of 12-15 studies
- Work schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts each week, Friday through Sunday, 7:00pm to 7:30am
- Call responsibilities are included during the assignment
- Level III trauma center setting
- Assignment includes both echo and vascular studies
- Orientation includes day one observation in the department followed by hands-on training with a preceptor
- During weekend shifts, a staff member will work the first shift with the traveler for support
- Minimum of 1 year experience in echocardiography and 2-3 years of general ultrasound experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
