The Pharmacy Technician position provides an opportunity to work in a leading retail pharmacy company and to positively impact the lives and health of others.
As a new Pharmacy Technician, you will complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy all registration, licensing and certification requirements according to your State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines. Your duties may be restricted by a manager until requirements are satisfied. Once requirements are met, you can expand duties and build clinical, technical and insurance knowledge through available tools and training.

ResponsibilitiesSuccess for incumbents includes managing all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team’s ability to promptly, safely and accurately fill patient prescriptions while providing caring service that exceeds customer expectations.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Licensure requirements vary by state
- Attention and Focus — the ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
- Customer Service Orientation — actively look for ways to help people, and do so in a friendly manner; notice and understand customers’ reactions and respond appropriately
- Communication Skills — use and understand verbal and written communication with customers and colleagues; active listening and asking appropriate questions
- Mathematical Reasoning — the ability to use math to solve problems (e.g., calculating day’s supply of a prescription)
- Problem Resolution — ability to judge when something is wrong or likely to go wrong; choosing the best course of action in complex situations
- Remaining upright on the feet for sustained periods
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks
- Picking, pinching, typing or working with fingers
- Extending hands/arms in any direction
- Bending forward; stooping; using back and lower body muscles
- Expressing ideas verbally with clear communication
- Perceiving sounds and receiving detailed information through oral communication
- Visual acuity to transcribe, view a computer terminal and read small parts
- Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs; exerting up to 30 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs frequently
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- PTCB National Certification
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Preferred But Not Required.

Pay Range:
The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $16.00 - $24.00 per hour. The actual base salary offer will depend on factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
