Skill and proficiency in applying the principles, concepts, and techniques, which are central to the nursing profession. Knowledge of human growth and development necessary for assessment, range of treatment and care of patients appropriate to the patient’s age as normally acquired through completion of an Associate degree, diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Current licensure or permit as a registered nurse in the state of Arkansas.
- Experience
- Knowledge of nursing management practices and procedures as acquired through two years nursing experience in an acute care hospital assuming a leadership or change role. Knowledge of hospital and nursing department policies and procedures and of assigned area/unit activities and personnel as acquired through an orientation program.
- Physical
- Normal hospital environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Lifting up to 100 lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.

Responsible for assessing, analyzing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients on a daily basis. Under the general supervision of the Director, the Patient Care Facilitator is responsible for 1 shift. Incumbents are subject to overtime and call‑back as required by the hospital. Routinely, assigns and responsibly directs staff. This position is required to utilize independent judgment.
