Operations Manager - Senior Health Center

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field with leadership. Certification in health care related field desired.
• Experience:
  
  Medical office experience preferred. Completion of medical terminology class preferred. Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and other related programs. EMR experience preferred. Knowledge of medical coding preferred.

• Normal office environment. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Operates personal computer, calculator, telephone, various in-house software, printers, copier, video monitor, and VCR. Continuous sitting. Some walking, bending, and stooping. Lifting, carrying up to 20lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 50lbs.

• Manages all Senior Health Clinic activities including scheduling (patient and staff), registration, coding, billing. Oversees a wide range of duties including all aspects of departmental communication with patients and other healthcare providers. Responsible for monthly reporting of departmental statistics. Day’s activities will be varied. Will be responsible for accuracy and currentness of records in regards to coding and subsequent billing. Works independently and assertively to be pro-actively current in all areas.
  
  Tact and diplomacy will be used in contact with all patients, physicians, and visitors as required. Discreetness in matters relating to patients and their problems. Must express desire to work with Geriatric population. Routinely, assigns and responsibly directs staff. This position is required to utilize independent judgment. Works across the organization on various quality improvement initiatives as well as initiatives for process improvement.
