Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Jonesboro, AR, for an Assistant Professor and Program Director of the Master of Athletic Training Program. Responsibilities include overseeing the program's administration, curriculum, and accreditation standards compliance. The role includes teaching and mentoring graduate students, overseeing clinical education, developing program goals, and collaborating with faculty and clinical partners. Additionally, this is a tenure-line position, so the candidate will be expected to engage in research and service-related initiatives aligned with the university's mission.
Qualifications- Direction of Master of Athletic Training (MAT) Program/Associate Professor, including budget management and resource allocation,Program faculty supervision, student recruitment and retention, and maintaining CAATE accreditation compliance.
- Teaching and advising, primarily in the MAT curriculum.
- Mentoring masters student research in area(s) of expertise.
- Additional scholarly activities and internal/external professional service expectations typical of a tenure-track university faculty member, consistent with rank.
- Other academic administrative leadership consistent with MAT Program Director duties, such as curriculum development, maintaining clinical partner and other stakeholder relationships, working with the medical director and other healthcare professionals, addressing legal and ethical issues related to the Program, and representing the Program and college at internal and external events as appropriate.
