This role involves retaining existing relationships and establishing new deposit accounts by achieving branch goals. The position also includes promoting and cross-selling bank products and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Open new accounts including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and other bank products.
  • Comply with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assess customer needs and cross-sell appropriate products and services.
  • Function as Teller, Sr. Teller, or Teller Supervisor as needed.
  • Support attainment of branch goals.
  • Refer new business to company subsidiaries such as insurance, mortgage, and brokerage.
  • Resolve customer concerns and ensure effective, long-term problem resolution.
  • Develop and build customer loyalty.
  • Follow up on referrals made by other team members.
  • Provide assistance with loan origination and processing as needed.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, rates, and services.
  • Provide ancillary services such as notary services.
  • Track and monitor all required documentation.
  • Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional attitude and appearance.
  • Adhere to work schedules and be flexible to work at alternative locations within the region or market.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Complete required BSA/AML and other compliance training.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
  • Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on-the-job training in a specific skill area (e.g., data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation), with 12 to 18 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Effective communication skills, mathematical aptitude, and critical thinking skills are required.

    Certificates, licenses, or registrations are not required but some banking-related courses are preferred. Software skills required include intermediate proficiency in spreadsheets and basic skills in 10-Key, payroll systems, and word processing.

    Working Conditions

    The work environment involves some disagreeable conditions such as noise and physical activity like standing, walking, pushing, carrying, or lifting. Some travel and evening or night work may be required.

    Physical Activities

    Includes talking, hearing, standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.

    Additional Information

    Demonstrated sales ability is a plus. The position may require working at different locations within the region or market.
